Welcome to CORE Theatre Ensemble

CORE Theatre Ensemble is the Resident Theatre Company
at Old Dominion University.

the past, The Present, and THE FUTURE

Hello All,

Hope everyone's summers are going great-- ours sure is! We've been keeping busy with workshops and shows both in production and development, but we've definitely been taking it easy as well-- The summer always gives you so many options to occupy your time, it seems. We're always looking for new inspiration, whether it be in a painting, or a song; and, believe us, this summer has been very abundant so far.

Some news for you:

the Past

We completed another Suzuki/Viewpoints Workshop last week, and we had such a great time.  Thanks all the workshop participants for making the past two weeks one of the most enjoyable.  We love teaching and especially love it when we have an enthusiastic group.

the Present

the POE [n. proj-ekt] is back for 3 performances only!
In association with Generic Theater, CORE is bringing the POE [n. proj-ekt] back into Hampton Roads after an acclaimed performance at the 13th annual Les Fêtes Théâtrales du Suroît in Quebec this past April.
This ever evolving production has an awesome blend of literature, theatre, music and dance. 5 actors seamlessly move from story to story taking the audience further and further into Poe's comedy and darkness. The evening includes performances of The Cask of Amontillado, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum and the local debut of The Bells and Anabelle Lee.

All tickets $10 -- Reservations thru www.generictheater.org or 757-441-2160

Performance dates are as follows:
                   Thursday, August 6              8pm
                   Friday, August 7                  8pm
                   Saturday, August 8               8pm
